PSA Peugeot Citroen updates range for couriers

Date: 22 January 2008

PSA Peugeot Citroen has launched a host of new vehicles which could be perfect for couriers and other owner drivers thinking about updating their fleets.

Both the new Citroen Berlingo and Peugeot Partner vans are slightly larger than their predecessors, making them perfect for couriers who need to cope with larger loads.

What's more, the company said that the Peugeot Partner now includes a host of features "adapted to the demands of its professional customer base". The company said that couriers and other owner drivers would particularly appreciate the new vehicle's quality, durability and efficiency.

Perhaps most intriguing for couriers is the van's unique Multi-Flex passenger seat. This can folded down to increase the load area length from 1.8m to 3m. In total, this can help create 400 litres of additional load space.

The .roadtransport.com website has also reported that the Peugeot is set to feature an optional on-board remote telematics system that can email a courier's fleet manager with routine maintenance information at pre-set intervals. It can also send "real-time warnings about critical events such as oil pressure, coolant temperature and brake pad wear".
