CV show to be combined with Aftermarket Show

Date: 28 November 2007

Next year's SMMT Commercial Vehicle show, which features all kinds of courier vans, is to be combined with the Aftermarket Show.

It has traditionally been run as a separate parallel event but in 2008 the two exhibitions will be merged, Motor Trader reports.

A spokesman said: "We're moving ATS into the main CV Show to avoid any confusion - we will not be promoting it as a separate event but as a zone within the CV Show."

The event will be held at the NEC in Birmingham from April 15th to 17th, and will feature many exhibitors.

Van products from Renault Trucks, Toyota, Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles, Locks 4 Vans, Fiat Group Automobiles, Smith Electric Vehicles, Trukrax Vehicle Racking Systems and others will be on display.

As well as this, exhibitors in sectors such as vehicle cleaning, screens, storage systems, refrigerated vehicles, lubrication systems, lighting and load handling will be present - in short, a host of companies that are useful for couriers and owner drivers.

Last year's Aftermarket Show played host to 3,985 registered aftermarket visitors.
