Courier Exchange

 Do More With Your Membership

The exchange is more than just a website that sends you notifications for jobs. It has a myriad of tools that will aide you in successfully running your transport business. The exchange is not a 'magic wand'. It is a tool chest that needs to be used correctly. The features are not technically difficult to use, but you need to know what is available, where it is and how to use it to your advantage. This document will help guide you in the right direction.

 Community

Probably the single most important aspect of the exchange. Without you, the members, the exchange doesn't work. It is therefore, imperative that you become involved with your peers and make the effort to get to know potential business partners. This is how the most successful companies operate on the exchange. They embrace the community feel of the site. This doesn't necessarily mean meeting up every Friday night, it means making contact, building a rapport and promoting your services. This can be done in many ways including; using the Messenger to send instant messages and to see who is online (especially useful when you are working late). CX Interactive, phone calls, emails, personal visits, participating in chat topics on our forums, attending the Christmas party, attending the member organized (occasional) meet. Attending regional meetings (coming soon). Networking with exchange members is an important element that should not be under estimated.

 Training Centre

It is all well and good having the best tools money can buy, but if you can't use them to your advantage then they are effectively useless. The training centre has training movies, user guides and case studies from existing members that explain how to get the most of the exchange. The centre has the option to submit questions and queries to our account management team. Your account manager will gather all of your submissions and answer them in one easy to read email.

 Knowledge Base

Our knowledge base (located at the top of the screen) is a comprehensive list of questions, answers, hints, tips, and downloadable user guides that will give you the answers to most of your queries. If you cannot find the answer, please submit a support ticket, by clicking on the support link located at the top of the screen. Your question, query suggestion will be answered as quickly as possible.

 Reports

The exchange has several reports that will allow you to see exactly who you have been working with and what money is owed to you and what money you owe to other members. Go to MyCX/HX. On the left hand side there is a section titled 'Reports'. Click on the report you wish to generate and then choose your date range. These reports will allow you to evaluate what the exchange is doing for you

 Epay

Epay allows you to reconcile the jobs you have sub-contracted through the exchange. You can drastically reduce the paperwork and manpower it takes to marry up invoices, purchase orders and PODs by viewing these documents through the 'Awaiting Approval' link located in the 'Payments' section of MyCX/HX. Once approved for payment (which emails the sub-contractor to say that their invoice has been received and signed off for payment). You can add the job to a payment run to be paid on a specific date. The sub-contractor's bank details will be included in this payment run report which can be either printed off or exported. If the bank details are not in the system you can tick a box that requests the particulars from the sub-contractor.
